easyJet wanted to ensure that all flight and cabin crew developed a greater sense of personal responsibility for safety in the air by improving relationships, communications skills and understanding of each other’s roles.

This was a part of the CAA mandatory CRM (Crew Resource Management) programme that each airline runs for its staff.  Post developing the first year’s programme, Progrezo wrote their following year’s programme focussing on leadership behaviours.

Services provided

  • Experiential training course for 400 cabin crew and 200 flight crew to improve their relationships, communication and knowledge of each other’s perspectives
  • Trained 15 trainers to deliver the programme
  • Created a training film
  • Identified improvement safety measures and further training

Business benefit

easyJet has, to date, one of the highest aviation safety records and the training was recommended to others by the Civil Aviation Authority as ‘leading the way in CRM training’. It improved employee engagement and dealt with real easyjet issues, rather than theoretical ones. Now easyJet has around 12 times as many Flight Deck and Cabin Crew, the foundations put in place by Progrezo have been scaleable and effective throughout that growth.
